Meet Our Donors

My wife and I have supported Alameda County Community Food Bank since the 1980s, before we even met! We started as volunteers, and then began attending events, learning more about hunger, and donating.

I have a personal connection to hunger, so the Food Bank’s work is personally important. My wife and I share a passion for ensuring children and seniors receive the nutrition they need to thrive. We still volunteer today—in the warehouse and at community events—and see first-hand the impact of the Food Bank’s programs, and the appreciation of those who receive much-needed assistance.

When we sat down to develop our estate plan, we knew that we wanted to donate a portion of our legacy to organizations that share our passions. Although we will continue to give during our lifetime, we are enthusiastic about naming the Food Bank as a beneficiary since we know that we’re funding the future of its programs when we’re no longer here.
